Glen Davenport

Patrolman

Badge #718

I began my law enforcement journey on August 24, 1988 when sworn in at the Village of Niles Police Department, a suburb adjoining the northwest edge of the City of Chicago, I served Niles residents until 1990 as a part time law enforcement officer experiencing many diverse and difficult situations.

In 1990 I left the Niles PD for a full time position with the Elk Grove Village police department where I attended the Chicago Police Academy and obtained state certification from the Illinois local governmental law enforcement officers training board.

A change in jobs brought me and my family to the Genoa area in 1995. I had enjoyed serving the public so much that I decided to pursue a position with the Genoa Police department and was sworn in 1997.

Being a police officer over the last 15 years has exposed me to many things most people don’t get a chance to experience, both good and unfortunately the bad. However being able to help people when they most need it is extremely rewarding and helps you to forget the bad times.

I thank the city of Genoa for allowing me to serve this great community for the past 6 years and look forward to doing so for many more.
