Residents registered will receive a call on July 29th to explain the new services.
The City of Genoa has contracted the CodeRed Weather Warning System
in an effort to expand it's weather warning capabilities. CodeRed Weather
Warning System is an automated weather warning that delivers phone calls,
text messages and e-mails to registered residents/businesses within the
direct path of severe weather.
The CodeRed Weather Warning System is an opt-in service that automatically notifies those registered of tornado, flash flood and severe thunderstorm warnings just minutes after an alert is issued by the National Weather Service (NWS). Residents may select the desire warnings they would or would not like to receive. Click the CodeRed logo to opt-in for this expanded service.
Residents are asked to take a few moments to provide the City with the appropriate information so you can be notified in the event of an emergency situation or critical community alert. Please note, your information will remain completely private and will only be used to notify you of critical situations. For additional information or questions, please contact Acting Chief Robert Smith at 815.784.6633 or by clicking here.
