PROJECT GOOD MORNING is a free service for the Genoa, IL area.

We provide a daily, morning "well check" telephone call to ensure the health and safety of our group members.
Our volunteers will phone the local police or sheriff's department if they feel that a group member is having a problem or if no one answers the phone at an agreed-upon time.
Our local police and sheriff's departments have agreed to provide "well check" visits when they are contacted by a Project Good Morning volunteer.
Project Good Morning volunteers are untrained and are calling as a courtesy. They are not a substitute for calling 911 in an emergency or for phoning your doctor or family if you are having a problem.
The program is designed for those people in our community that may not have daily contact with other people and have a chronic disability or disease that prevents them from easily getting out of the house. |

I know someone who needs your services...

If you know someone in the Genoa area who would benefit from our free, volunteer service, please let them know about us!

Have them call us to sign-up or download our Client form. To learn more about the program, call 1-815-762-4175.
If the person you have in mind would like a face-to-face meeting so that the program can be better explained, this can be arranged.

I'd like to volunteer...

To allow this program to succeed, we must have a dedicated group of volunteers to make our daily telephone calls.
If you would like to be part of our Project Good Morning volunteer team, we invite you to call us or
download our Volunteer Form. You must agree to a police background check.
After this check you will receive training on the rules of our volunteer organization. We'll provide you with a client list and that includes their addresses and agreed-upon times to answer the phone.
The current Director of Volunteers for our Genoa chapter of Project Good Morning is Mike Andrews.
